At the Diamondhead Water & Sewer District, our goal is to provide safe, clean, sparkling water to all of our residents! The Diamondhead Water & Sewer District was formed in 1989 by the State of Mississippi and provides water & sewer services to a residential and commercial area of approximately 4,400 customers. The District is a separate entity from any other City or County municipality and we take pride in our ability to provide quality water and sewer services to each of our customers. The Diamondhead Water & Sewer District owns and operates all water production facilities, distribution system, wastewater treatment plant and the wastewater collection system within the boundaries of the City of Diamondhead. The District operates through oversight from a Board of Commissioners and operates under direction of the General Manager, an Administrative Dept., Operations Dept. and Utilities Maintenance Dept. The Mississippi Department of Health and Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality regulate all District operations as it relates to the public water supply, wastewater collection and treatment processes.
Our employees are the main instrumental part of the District which allows us to offer quality services to our customers. Being available 24/7 for emergencies provides us the ability to take care of our customers when it's needed.
