**UPDATE: BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED**
*EMERGENCY REPAIRS/WATER SHUTDOWN ON KOKO PLACE AND KOKO ST AT HILO WAY – 1/25/2023*
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the Diamondhead Water & Sewer District is conducting an emergency water main repair on Koko Place and Koko Street at Hilo Way, due to damage caused by contractors hitting a water line.
Approximately 16 customers will be effected and issued Precautionary Boil Water Notice. Crews are rushing to the scene and will perform repairs asap!
Services will be restored as soon as possible.
Precautionary Boil Water Notices will be issued to those residents who are in the affected area. During emergency shutdowns water line sediments being disturbed can sometimes cause discoloration in the water. This is not harmful, and the water is safe to drink.
If this occurs in your lines, a simple flush of your faucets for a few minutes should clear up the cloudiness that can sometimes occur. When the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted, those residents will be notified.
Please use caution in this area when workers are present. Any questions, please call the District office at (228) 255-5813 (Press 0). Thank you for your patience and understanding during this work.
