**TEMPORARY WATER SHUTDOWN ON KALEKI WAY & A SMALL PORTION OF AMOKA DR.  5/7/2024**

***UPDATE: THE PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED***

**TEMPORARY WATER SHUTDOWN ON KALEKI WAY & A SMALL PORTION OF AMOKA DR.  5/7/2024**

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the Diamondhead Water & Sewer District will conduct a scheduled shutdown due to the City drainage project.

The District contractor will be lowering an existing water main in order to accommodate the City of Diamondhead’s installation of a larger drainage pipe.

The shutdown map area includes Kaleki Way and a small portion of Amoka Drive.

Water will be restored as soon as possible.

Precautionary Boil Water Notices will be issued to those residents who are in the affected area.  During shutdowns water line sediments being disturbed can sometimes cause discoloration in the water. This is not harmful, and the water is safe to drink.

If this occurs in your lines, a simple flush of your faucets for a few minutes should clear up the cloudiness that can sometimes occur.

When the precautionary boil water order has been lifted, those residents will be notified.

Please use caution in this area when workers are present.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this work.
