Emergency Water Shutdown on DDE from Awini St. to Hilo St. 9/8/26

Emergency Water Shutdown on DDE from Awini St. to Hilo St. 9/8/26

The precautionary boil water notice has been lifted.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Diamondhead Water & Sewer District conducted an emergency shutdown for contractors on Diamondhead Drive East from Awini Street to Hilo Street.

Water service will be restored as soon as the work is completed.

Notices and Precautionary Boil Water Notices will be issued to those residents who are in the affected area.

During shutdowns water line sediments being disturbed can sometimes cause discoloration in the water. This is not harmful, and the water is safe to drink.

If this occurs in your lines, a simple flush of your faucets for a few minutes should clear up the cloudiness that can sometimes occur.

When the precautionary boil water order has been lifted, those residents will be notified, which normally takes two(2) business days.

Please use caution in this area when workers are present.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this work.
